You do raise a good point about the Kinect, though - it could certainly make games more accessible to kids. Considering how relatively expensive these things were I should have just been grateful for what I had. In the end I got a Saturday job and saved up for my own Amiga 500. £389 (over £700 in today's money) of my own hard-earned......so worth it. Considering how relatively expensive these things were I should have just been grateful for what I had.

I suspect waving at the screen would be much more intuitive than "point this at the tv".
