Axial have just announced that they’re releasing a kit version of their popular-yet-troubled buggy, the Yeti XL.
The main complaint about the RTR version of the Yeti XL is the way it kicks the front wheels off the ground due to the insane amount of torque twist. The kit (unsurprisingly) addresses this with the inclusion of a rear sway bar. In addition, like other Axial kits, there are a few other upgrades – new wheels and tyres, 3mm lower link plates, upgraded wheel hubs, new dual-rate shocks, and a new wheel carrier (plus wheel) for the rear deck. You also get a set of clear body panels for you to paint yourself.
I’ll definitely be picking up some of those parts (especially the sway bar!) for my RTR version, and maybe the kit itself later in the year…
